Scheduling

Postpartum support is offered on an hourly basis, with a 15 hour minimum.  I serve a 30 minute traveling radius of Marmora, NJ.   I will develop a contract and a tentative schedule that works for you.  I will meet with you when you reach 35 weeks to discuss your personal postpartum needs and concerns.  I prefer to schedule postpartum care while you are still pregnant, however, if you find that you need support, once you are home, I will do my best to offer support if there is availability.  If I am not available, I will tap into my doula network and find someone who is.

Fees

The prenatal consultation is free.  I charge $40 per hour plus a $200 retaining fee to be deducted from the bill.  Doula Care is a tax-deductible expense.  It is covered by flex-pay accounts.  I accept checks, cash, and credit cards.

Expanding Family Care

Postpartum doula care allows room for the new mom to share valuable time with all her children.  A postpartum doula can assist with caring for the newborn so mom can spend more time with her older children, which helps decrease sibling rivalry and possible regression.  On the flip side, a postpartum doula can also offer sibling care so that you can have worry free bonding time with your newborn and sleep when your baby sleeps to help facilitate a quicker recovery from birth.

Having an extra set of hands around eases the stress on the family.  A c-section makes it challenging when having to care for a newborn and older children.  A postpartum doula is of great support in this scenario.

Supplemental Support

These small packages are for families who have support and do not need full postpartum doula care.

First day home

Most first-time parents want some help as they transition to being home and solely responsible for their baby.  Two hours.

Baby’s first bath

Most new parents are naturally anxious about giving their baby the first bath.  We can schedule a 2 hour home visit to provide professional assistance and reassurance.  Two hours.

Sleep Deprived

Everyone tells you to sleep when the baby sleeps, but not all moms heed this advice as there is so much to get done.  So, if you are completely worn out and need to get a good 3-4 hours of sleep in, call me and I will hold down the fort for you.

Nursery Management

Do you have everything you NEED in your nursery?  Is everything safe?  What is missing that will help make tending to your newborn run smoother?

Postpartum doula care is currently available evenings and weekends.
